The Unicon community is a bazaar, not a cathedral, and while I will filter entries based on relevance to Unicon, this page is really open to most any Unicon-related item you wish to inform us of. There are various theories regarding what makes programming languages successful, which have even gotten some press. Unicon co-founder Clinton Jeffery wishes to publicly dismiss these ideas as poppycock, and sexist to boot.
Unicon has a sister project on Source Forge: CVE, a collaborative virtual environment written in Unicon. If you know of other sister projects, please let us know!
Steve and Kevin Wampler have developed a significant collection of Unicon libraries along with an improved automatic documentation generator.
Art Eschenlauer has announced a public alpha-level test release of Uunit (link lost/broken), a Unicon unit test tool inspired by Junit.
The Windows distribution is normally built using GCC. MinGW64 to be exact.
The Unicon compiler uses a novel tool called Merr to maintain its syntax error messages; that tool is included in the Unicon distribution, but is easily usable in any YACC application and now has a website of its own: http://unicon.sourceforge.net/merr/
