Unicon Release Status
Unicon has been publically released for many years now and is used in
production codes at places like NIH and AT&T. However, it is
continuing to evolve, and at any given time there are various newer
features that should be considered under beta test.
Known Problem Areas
- Many syntax errors do not yet give good messages; if you get a
message with a number in parenthesis (361) you can help by
sending me a code fragment that produces the error.
- Optional features of Unicon often depend on external libraries
which might or might not be installed. Although Unicon uses
autoconf to try and detect these libraries, it has proven difficult
to make this process perfectly reliable.
